A spectacular species rarely seen in cultivation, with strap, sward fronds in gray-green and densely covered with white hairs, especially when young. Undersides of the fronds are in red-brown with sori occur on the upper part near margins. The fronds can grow to 2 ft. long in suitable conditions. It spreads by very short stout rhizomes as if they absent that will make a nice tight clump and of course, become an impressive specimen.
Like many species of the genus, this species is a slow grower. Perform well in epiphytic mix, which contains high quality sphagnum, perlite and bark. Cold tolerance down to 5 Celsius degrees without visible damage.
