Rare and unusual specie with leathery, lancelate fronds reaching 5-8" that are in red-orange when young. Fronds always have stunning elongated tail (spore-bearing part), with brownish sori underside. Stems and rhizomes are covered with short scales.
It seems to be an easy fern for warm, humid, well-drained conditions. In any case, this plant is compact enough for medium-larger terrariums and it is stunningly attractive when well grown.
