We brought this spectacular Fishtail Fern back from the Philippines, where it has been cultivated for a couple of years under the name "Mermaid's Tail". Hence its names, apart from the regular Biserrata that frond tips fork into sections, frond of this variety terminates with large irregular crested tips.
It is fairly easy but rather slow to start. Need relatively high humidity with excellent air movement to prevent rot and algae buildup in the interior of these thick multi-layered fronds. Regular pruning and fertilizing will make it becomes afabulous conservatory showoff.
