This strange holly fern endemics to Hawaii. Unlike the common types in cultivation; Cyrtomium falcatum and Cyrtomium fortunei, this one is much more compact. Under well enough light it stands to 4-5" only. It bears upright, leathery divided fronds in pale green with brownish blister sori underside. Stems are covered with golden scales at base.
It have proven to do well in regular potting mix and need fairly dry between watering. Prefer warm and moist environment under light shade.
