Antrophyum is a group of unique epiphytic ferns associated with Ophioglossum and Haplopteris, endemics to primary rainforest, typically creeping on mossy rock or hanging down from wet vine branches above stream. Our selection, Antrophyum callifolium, is the largest species with 7-8" long succulent, bold texture, paddle-shaped fronds and dedicated sori undersides. When grown under low light level and good humidity, the fronds show nice iridescent blue sheen!
It is a challenging and low growing fern. Does best in relatively high humidity and good air movement. Best when mounted on a tree-fern plaque with high quality sphagnum.
