Unusual form of the Sleeping Beauty Series rarely seen in cultivation, distinguished by large shiny black stems and rounded leaves, which are lobbed and cut. Also has a light airy appearance and grows to about 2 ft. in height
Similar to other varieties of Adiantum tenerum, It performs well under light shade, in a little alkaline media. Easier to prepare by adding 10% by volume of limestone chips into the regular peat-based medium.
