Formerly known as Begonia sizemoreae. Despite long time in cultivation, it is still sought after by many plant enthusiasts, especially new comers from its lovely and unusual foliage, which is very hairy, pebbled, with fine speckling of bright silver-green and irregular light green banding.


This specie is associated with begonia rex and care is similar; performs best in intermediate conditions. Although it tolerates fro heat up to 30-32 Celsius degrees, the leaves not well develop as they should be and the bristles almost disappear.
