Rare form of this large growing species, with branches can be up to 5 ft. long and bears hairy silver foliage that gives satin texture when touch. Undersides of the entire leaves are tinted in burgundy, not just marked at margins like see in most forms. Small red-orange calyces and flowers rise from the leaf axils, shading by the leaves.
It is excellent as a greenhouse or terrarium subject, but can be grown in a bright window if provided with decent humidity.
