Hard to find and spectacular Medinilla originated from the Philippines, characterized by pendulous inflorescence emerge along the branches, with stunning crimson color. Its strongly veined foliage are quite over-sized, giving very tropical feeling.
Because of its semi-epiphytic habit, great care should be taken in choosing a light freely draining potting medium, and keep fairly dry between watering. This specie is considered one of the easier medinillas to maintain in a home environment, or can definitely grown as a stunning accent in a shady humid greenhouse.
