This awesome, very impressive form always won awards at our fern shows here. Its sturdy forked fertile fronds are substituted by large, dramatic fan shaped fronds, which which are well compatible with the existing grooved shield fronds.
Care is similar to the regular form, though this type seems demand much water when mature. The major key to success is water as less as possible and let it survive by high humidity and good air movement. The best humidity should be above 80%. At this point, water once a week is enough, and make sure leaves dry out before night time. Mounting on tree-fern plaques with high quality sphagnum is the better way if controlling water is an issue.
