Apparently still undescribed specie after having been in cultivation for 5 years. This awesome new species was discovered in a remote part of Western Thailand. The plant makes attractive shoots, about 5 ft. hanging down vines, which are lined with thick, glossy, deep green leaves. Each branch terminates with cluster of 3'' long flowers in bright purple color that is pretty unusual color for Aeschynanthus, and appear from December - March. Excellent for cross-breeding with some other species/varieties to create new hybrids.


Rather a slow grower but seem fairly easy to grow in relatively high humidity under light shade.
