Adiantum tenerum "Jamaica Roseum" NEW!
New clone of the most distinctive stiff leaf type, The Jamaica. Despite the fact that the Jamaica rarely produce sori, we tried many ways of cultures and finally got enough spore to creat new one by mixing with spore of Adiantum tenerum "Chiapus Roseum". Although none sporelling plants inherited the appearances of the Chiapus Roseum, its exceptionally beautiful new growth color relayed on 30% of the new hybrid and we selected the best one as see in the pictures.
Does best in peat based medium, with additional of small percentage (usually 10% by volume) of limestone chips to the mix. It does not develop strong, deep rooting system so better to use pan or bonzai pots.
Offers are plants from rhizome propagation and we currently have just 15 plants available.
Offered are starter plants, established in 4" pot
