The most unique species of the genus, with glossy and leathery palmatipartite fronds that can grow to 6" across on upright stems. The slender fertile fronds rise occasionally with brownish sori bump underside. Spread slowly via hairy creeping rhizomes.
It does best in very coarse, porous media such as a mixture of sphagnum, perlite and bark, or mount growing with high quality sphagnum. Can also be a good candidate for medium-large size terrariums.
