Adiantum tenerum "The Sleeping Peacock" NEW!
Our own hybrid, which named after its parents as no more appropriate names reflex its looks better than this name. Of course, it was created by mixing spores of Adiantum tenerum "Peacock" and Adiantum tenerum "Sleeping Beauty" and the best one we got shows the unique appearance of both varieties; long, upright, frilly stems from the Peacock and large, curly downward pinnae from the Sleeping Beauty. Despite lack of colorful new growth, this hybrid has very unique and vigorous form, always stand to 1.5 ft. tall.
It does best in peat based medium, with additional of small percentage (usually just 2-5% by volume) of limestone chips to the mix. Trimming old, yellow fronds frequently promotes production of new growth.
Offered are mature plants, established in 4" pot
