Asplenium or "Bird-nest fern" is a widespread genus occurs throughout the tropics. We collect and grow both the "Traditional Bird-Nest Ferns", which are various varieties of Asplenium nidus, and a number of unusual species with spectacular bipinnate or tripinnate fronds. Several pretty karst limestone dwellers are also available here sometimes.
Our collection is classified using the difference in cultivation into two types;
The Hardy Type
These are traditional "Bird-Nest ferns", with varieties of asplenium nidus and related species that require similar growing conditions. They are easy and hardy enough for indoor uses or shaded garden positions.
The Terrarium Type
Most occur in dense, primitive forest or karst limestone. Do well as a terrarium or greenhouse specimens but needs good light and perfect air movement.
