Selliguea sp.
Product code : SEL-SPC
Pot size : 3" (Mature plant)
Price : $30.00
Very incredible to see such nice iridescent color on this genus. It was discovered on Highlands in Southern Laos in 2010. First we assume it would be a Lepisorus, but after checking with experts they said to be a new Selliguea specie. Its hard and glossy, upright fronds can get 3-4" long and make a small clump by furry brown creeping rhizome. The fronds are in heavy metallic blue color even without flash! Besides stunning fronds there're also attractive orange blister sori undersides. Does well for us in an epiphytic mix, such as equal parts peat, perlite and good quality pine bark. Never invasive nor rampant. Would be a good terrarium candidate.
