Schismatoglottis sp. Ex. Thailand NEW!
Another aesthetic beauty of our Asian aroids. This one is an ultra rare and probably a new specie we found ourselves during a trip in Northern Thailand, occurring on sandy bank beside streams near Myanmar border. After a couple of years in cultivation, it becomes one of our most favorite aroid. As see in the pictures, foliage marbled with contrasting deep green and silvery splotches. It grows to a couple feet tall, but very slow...better say every 1 ft. takes a year.
It seems to perform well using similar culture type of Aglaonema pictum; well-drained media and relatively high humidity are keys to success. Available in limited supply!
