(AKA : Doryopteris ludens) A challenge fern but it is a collector MUST HAVE specie in collection. It bears hand size, glossy, pointed, three-lobed fronds on black stems. The spore-bearing fronds rise occasionally, slender with sori occurs underside along margin. Well grown plant is very spectacular!
It does best in peat based medium, with additional of small percentage (usually 10% by volume) of limestone chips to the mix. Trimming old, yellow fronds frequently promotes production of new growth.
