(AKA : Doryopteris ludens) A challenge fern but it is a collector MUST HAVE specie in collection. It bears hand size, glossy, pointed, three-lobed fronds on black stems. The spore-bearing fronds rise occasionally with sori occurs underside along margin. Well grown plant is very spectacular!
It does best in peat based medium, with additional of small percentage (usually just 2-5% by volume) of limestone chips to the mix. Trimming old, yellow fronds frequently promotes production of new growth.
