This newly discovered specie restricted to karst limestone of Southern Thailand. At first sight you may assume it is Calciphilopteris ludens. In fact, it is much smaller. Its three-lobed fronds can grow to just 2" across and are in red-orange color when young! Similar to the Ludens, it spreads slowly by underground rhizomes.


It does best in peat based medium, with additional of small percentage (usually 10% by volume) of limestone chips to the mix. Trimming old, yellow fronds frequently promotes production of new growth.
