Another hard-to-find species, maidenhair ally, endemics to SE Asia. It looks similar to the more common heart-shaped fern; Hemionitis arifolia, that came from America. However, it differs by having ornamental watermarks or scrolled calligraph scattered on the fronds. Underside of the fronds and new growth are also covered with short hairs. It normally stay at 3-4" but once produce spore-bearing fronds, they can rise 8-10" above the regular fronds, with nice sori underside.
It does best in peat based medium, with additional of small percentage (usually 10% by volume) of limestone chips to the mix. Rather sensitive to over watering.
Offered are mature plants. established in 3" pot
