This fern also called "The fiddle head fern", which is the most commonly consumed fern. Major population spans over Asia and Oceania. Its hallmark is attractive curly new growth before gradually change into bipinnate arching fronds in a wide rosette atop the gradually developing black hairy trunk. Thus, it is also a good choice for tropical gardens besides consumption purpose.
It is easy to grow in above average humidity, slightly acidic medium and like a good deal of water.
