Tectaria hilocarpa
A cool fern hails from Philippines should have in collection! It is a compact upright grower with nice pattern on pointed foliage and rosette, resembling a variegated plant. The wiry spore-bearing fronds usually rise at the center above the regular fronds, making the plant very stunning!
This specie is restricted to karst limestone, thus incorporate a percentage of limestone chippings into the growing mix is beneficial. Also, great care should be exercised to not overwater.
