One of the most dramatic and challenge to grow species of the genus, characterized by thin, wiry, trailing stems, velvety foliage and maroon to dark red flowers emerging from a very divided calyx.
It is excellent as a terrarium or greenhouse subject, but can be grown in a bright window if provided with decent humidity.
