Microsorum siamense XMicrosorum thailandicum NEW!
Newly introduced hybrid between Microsorum siamense and Microsorum thailandicum, the two magnificent, iridescent species endemic to South Thailand. This new fern bears wider fronds up to 1.5" across, which derived from the Siamense, but much longer, even than the Thailandicum! They can grow to 2 ft. long and when grown in suitable conditions, will show nice metallic blue color and become very impressive specimen.
We found this new hybrid well acclimates to home cultivation when compared with their parents, though it is advised to maintain above average humidity for the best coloration. Care should be exercised to not overwater. Adding a percentage of limestone chippings into the growing mix is recommended to promote growth and leaf color.
Offered are mature plants, established in 4" pot
