Formerly known as Photinopteris acuminata, an extremely rare and unusual specie. Major population spans across Peninsular Malaysia. Unlike other species, this is only the one bears compound fronds, reaching 2 ft., and terminate with large tassel spore-bearing portion. Its large creeping rhizomes are also in stunning turquoise-green color.
It is one of the slowest growing ferns in our collection. Despite bearing hard and shiny foliage, it does not tolerates under high light level, instead requires relatively high humidity and partial shade to grow well. Best suit for basket culture.
