An old cultivar not often seen in cultivation, characterized by large creeping rhizomes topped with leathery, flared strap, rippled fronds (usually a foot long).
It is a slow growing fern. Rather touchy when allow settle down in new places, but once establised, tolerate for some neglect. Perform well under light shade and care should not be overwatered.
