Medinilla alata NEW!
A desirable new find from Indonesia, though some believe it should be Medinilla crassata from the Philippines, others list it as Medinilla alata 'Lalique'. This striking new species shows off with translucent pale bluish white petals over burgundy calyxes and flower stems. After flowering it is followed by red berries that turn a deep magenta as they age.
It is a compact grower that makes a choice houseplant or conservatory plant. Fairly easy to grow in well drained media with ample moisture, partial shade.
