Newly described species from Central Vietnam, probably the ancestor of Begonia kingiana and related species in the Peninsular Malaysia as they share very similar appearance, with charming mottled peltate leaves, red petiole and tiny clusters of light pink to white flowers. They are locally endemic and now marked as critical endangered species.
They are lovers of high humidity and hence will make a great non-invasive addition to a terrarium or as a terrarium specimen alone. Note that adding limestone promotes growth and leaf color.
Offered are starter plants, established in 3" pot.
