This strange fern is species in Lomariopsidaceae family, distributes in SE Asia at low to medium altitude, characterized by glossy, leathery, lanceolate fronds that are in deep purple color when young. They spread slowly by zig-zag creeping rhizomes that can either cascading or climbing on lower tree trunk.


They are a bit touchy fern despite the hardy appearance. Does best under partially shade and high humidity. Demand lots of water once established.
