Formerly known as Araiostegia imbricata. It is one of the most dramatic species of Davalliaceae, endemics to Southern China and Northern Vietnam. It has very delicate, lacy fronds that can grow to 10" long. The fronds rise from zig-zag green creeping rhizome.
It is not hardy enough like other more common species widely produced in markets. Instead, need relatively high humidity and stable environment. Frequent cultural swing and/or unusual heat leads the fronds not fully develop. Best for mounting on a tree-fern plaque or basket.
