Very collectible and unusual sport of the common Rabbit's Foot fern originated from Japan. Unlike the regular form that is a long creeping fern, this one forms fuzzy, cockscomb rhizomes, tends to be mount and become a caudex when mature. It is a hardy winter, but may rest (leafless) when temperature drops below 5 Celsius degrees. Best suit for both bonsai culture, woodland garden and terrarium. If grown in a terrarium, it is recommended for mount growing on a slab of tree-fern and keep fairly dry between watering.
